Is my car on cruise control?

I just got my 2024 nissan pathfinder for a few weeks now, but the car seemed off.

A few weeks ago I wanted to listen to music in my car while waiting for my GF, so I turned on the car using my phone and started the music.

Now, when she got to the car, I hit the start button. It was a habit, I guess, but then the car was shut off.

When I tried to turn the car on, it wouldn't start. I waited for a few minutes, and it started.

As I started driving, it felt like the car was on cruise control, although I didn't even turn it on. There was nothing on the dash either.

I hit the brakes at the stop light, and it became more active. I pressed on the gas, and it just floored to 20mph!

Anyone have the same experience? Share some advice, okay!

That's a weird glitch, and quite scary, too. I think the ECU/throttle is quite confused or something. Don't take it to long rides yet just to be safe. In the meantime, do me a favor and try a system reset. If you're planning to take it to your dealer, ask them to help you do an autoscan so you know what's wrong and let them explain to you without jargons.

That's really strange and concerning, given it's a very new car! It could be a software glitch or something else entirely, but it's best to have the expert take a look at it for safety! I hope you've brought it to your Nissan dealership! They have the specialized tools and knowledge to correctly diagnose what's going on with the electronic systems!
