2023 Rock Creek - What does it really have for us?

I've been reading a lot about the 2023 Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition and I'm not quite meshed on what I'm learning. The inconsistency of the information that I gather is really not giving. According to an article from Daniel Golson from CNet reviews it has cool features like wireless smartphone chargers, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Andoird auto and the SiriusXM radio and navi. I even hoped the Platinum's head-up deisplay and that fully digital gauge cluster thing is available, but if not at least the Rock Creek gets the 13-speaker audio system and heated 1st and 2nd row seats.

Get this, FRUSTRATINGLY, it does not have it all. EVerything I mentioned above? It's not included. Even the dealer doesn't have an idea about most of it and the rep from Nissan I talked to just told me to refer to the website (NissanUSA..com) that basically has no information about it as well. So yeah, I think it wasn't such a good idea switching my order from the Platinum to the Rock Creek version. Nissan really did not manage sending it's review vehicles well and ended up mismatching it with what they are selling.

Yeah, Nissan really dropped the ball on this one. The 2023 Rock Creek was supposed to be more of an off-road-focused trim, which is why it skips out on a lot of those tech features you mentioned. The whole confusion likely stems from early media coverage — some review units were decked out with features that aren't even standard or optional on the Rock Creek.

Actually, this isn't the first time Nissan's been messy like this. Back when the 2018 Pathfinder came out, there was a similar mix-up where some dealers thought ProPILOT Assist was included across trims when it was really exclusive to the higher-end models. Same story — confusing info, inconsistent marketing, and frustrated buyers.

Your best bet's probably digging into the detailed spec sheet — Nissan's reps are usually clueless when this kinda mix-up happens.

Yeah, felt the same. Rock Creek looks cool, but it's missing a lot, no HUD, no digital cluster, no premium audio. It's more of a dressed up SV, not a tech loaded trim. Even the dealer seemed unsure. If you wanted the fancy features, platinum was the better call.

Ah man, I feel you on this one. All the reviews hyped up features it doesn't even come with. It's wild how even the dealers and reps can't give a straight answer and if you're paying that much, you shouldn't have to guess what you're getting. Honestly, they should've just made a proper off road platinum trim instead of half baking this one lol

the article isn't a good advertisement for the car, it's like clickbait lol

Totally get it, that's really frustrating. It's crazy that even the dealers and reps can't seem to provide a clear answer. Honeslty you might have been better off going with the Platinum. I'm lookin forward to seeing what you decide
