Chek engine light

I've had my pathfinder since 2023 and racked up a little over 20k miles on it. In that time I've had the check engine light come on a few times, random, and since its under warranty it went straight to the dealer. The problem is that it's random so there's no way for the techs over there to replicate anything and see what the light is about. It drives fine doesn't show any signs so there are no symptoms for me to explain. I left it last week at the dealer hoping they can get the error but no luck so far. is the car cursed or is it a common problem?

Wow this can be a real headache.. aside from the engine light coming on anything else that you noticed? any other indicators

this issue can be caused by various reasons like an intermittent issue, a loose gas cap, or an engine or emission control system

It's more likely to be a sensor issue, not a mechanical issue. So don't worry much about it. Take it to a specialized mechanic and you may have more luck.

Agreed, sensor issues are common and usually less serious than mechanical problems. Has the OP already checked if the mechanic has the right diagnostic tools for their specific model?
