Squeaking noise while driving

I picked up my 2025 Nissan Pathfinder SV early May. It started making a squeaking noise about two weeks ago. I think it only happens when I drive it, never when I hit the brakes, but it gets louder when I pass by bumpy roads. It's my first car so I don't have any experience but I want to see if it's something I can fix on my own or at least diagnose. Any ideas?

Cool new Pathfinder! That squeak you hear, mostly when you're hitting bumps and not the brakes, probably means something's up with your suspension, think bushings, sway bar links, or shocks. They might just need some grease.

Quick thing to try, push down hard on each corner of your car. If it bounces up and down more than twice, the shocks could be the problem. Also, try spraying some silicone lube on the suspension joints to see if the noise goes away.

Since it's a brand new car, you might want to use your warranty if the squeak keeps bugging you. Got any tools?

Yep, try spraying some silicone lube on the bushings and joints to see if it quiets down. Does the sound come from the front or rear?

Your Pathfinder should come with a 3-year/36k mile limited warranty and a 5-year powertrain warranty, which usually transfers automatically to new owners. Do you know if yours is still active? If so, its best to take it to the dealer soon before anything expires, they should check it out at no cost
